This is my first blog entry. My plan is to use my somewhat odd mix of experience in farming, medicine, and public health to talk about issues and places where those areas intersect—-and there are a lot of them.
After thinking about the blog for a while, this week’s action, or rather inaction, by the FDA on antibiotic use in livestock got me over the threshold.

and one reason is that i go to many blogs, look, read, and wonder, “what in the world is this blog about?”
